The concept of this shoot was to capture strength, femininity, and vulnerability, thus creating an authentic and powerful alchemy. To do this, we chose a backdrop of pristine white sand and rocky mountains, an almost surreal landscape that served as the backdrop to our artistic exploration.

As a photographer, I sought to capture the raw and natural beauty of our model, while showcasing the exquisite jewelry pieces from Zvet. I tried to strike a balance between the brilliance of the jewelry and the fierce power of the backdrop, to bring out the power and femininity of Nana.

As a makeup artist, my role was to further enhance this natural femininity and innate strength. I used soft and understated colors and textures that complemented the environment, while highlighting the unique features of Nana. My goal was to create a look that reflects vulnerability and bravery, while remaining in harmony with the overall mood of the photo shoot.

This experience has been incredibly rewarding for me, and I hope that the final result will meet your expectations. I would like to thank Zvet Jewelry for giving me this wonderful opportunity to merge my passion for photography and makeup into a single work of art.

Meet Ivan Mugemanyi

Ivan Mugemanyi, an internationally renowned makeup artist and photographer, is based in Rwanda and has built a remarkable reputation over his 10-year career in the beauty industry. Known for his exquisite soft glam style, characterized by flawlessly blended and universally flattering looks, Ivan has become the most sought-after makeup artist in the country.

However, Ivan's journey in the makeup industry began in Brussels, Belgium, where he kick-started his career fresh out of makeup school. He joined the prestigious international brand, MAC Cosmetics, as a makeup artist and swiftly rose to the esteemed position of senior in-house trainer. During this period, he honed his skills and acquired the latest techniques from the forefront of fashion and beauty trends.

In 2014, Ivan M. introduced the groundbreaking TAMIIM Beauty Studio, Belgium's first-ever dedicated makeup studio. As a global beauty expert, he established a space entirely devoted to the art and technique of makeup. The studio offers a wide range of services, including glamorous makeovers, makeup lessons and workshops, and fashion photoshoots. Simultaneously, Ivan continued collaborating with renowned brands such as Hermès, Mac Cosmetics, Estee Lauder, Maybelline, and L'Oréal, among others.

In December 2020, Ivan M. launched his own brand concept in Kigali, Rwanda, known as Ivan M STUDIO. With a primary focus on pushing the boundaries of makeup artistry, Ivan aims to revolutionize the Rwandan beauty scene with top-of-the-line services and expertise.
