Finding Thyself

Finding Thyself

As I look back on the journey of our collections, I am reminded of how each piece is a chapter in the story of the ZVET woman.

Our collections are not separate moments; they flow into one another like seasons. The NITA collection reflected a woman’s journey to remembering who she was, and the I AM Collection continues that story. Now, the woman who once overlooked herself stands tall in the confidence of who she is.

The inspiration for the I AM collection comes from the five pillars of Ubuntu: self-knowledge, self-confidence, resilience, empathy, and service. Each pillar inspired a pair of earrings, and today I want to share the story of AZA.

"The Heart of AZA"

AZA was born from the pillar of self-knowledgeFor me, self-discovery always starts from within. It begins the moment you decide to sit with yourself and ask: Who am I? What do I carry inside?

Self-knowledge requires self-reflection. How deep are we willing to go to understand ourselves? To examine our thoughts, feelings, and choices with honesty?

The design of AZA has waves that were inspired by how our thoughts, our feelings, and our actions shape who we are and our reality. Everything starts within.

To know yourself is to pay attention to these waves, to reflect honestly, and to recognise the patterns within.

"A Connection to EFA"

AZA is also connected to EFA, a pair from the NITA Collection that was inspired by feminine energy. EFA taught us about listening to our intuition. AZA takes it further: once you’ve learned to trust your intuition, you step into deeper self-knowledge, and with that comes strength.

That’s why the name AZA, which means powerful in Swahili, felt so right. It speaks to that inner you. We see ourselves when we take time for reflection and get to understand and love ourselves.

"The ZVET Woman"

Through AZA, the ZVET woman continues her journey. Now, she knows her strength, she respects her boundaries, and she trusts herself more, and this leads naturally to the next step; self-confidence. Once you know who you are and believe in your own strength, you begin to move through the world with assurance.

That will be the theme of the next piece I’ll share.

With Love,

Svetta
