The Feminine Energy, the Female Cycle, and the Story of EFA and LUNA

The Feminine Energy, the Female Cycle, and the Story of EFA and LUNA

This time, I want to share how the themes of feminine energy and the female cycle became essential to the NITA Collection. Like so much in this journey, it’s all deeply connected.

"Listening to Thyself"

It began unexpectedly, with a song “Energy” by Sampa The Great. The depth of her words, the visuals, the sound; everything stirred something in me. It led me to explore and to read more about feminine energy.

I came to understand: Feminine energy is about authenticity, acceptance, and inclusion.

When we embrace ourselves fully, we reconnect with our instincts and our instinct is nothing less than a whisper from God/ the Divine.

In earlier reflections, I spoke about Ubuntu, how knowing who you are makes empathy toward others flow more easily. Self-love follows the same truth; to truly love yourself, you must first know yourself. This includes being in tune with your feminine energy, the nurturing, intuitive essence within.

"Listening to the Body: The Female Cycle"

At the same time, I was connecting with my community through Noir Ambition, a platform I co-founded for African women entrepreneurs.
We had conversations about aligning our work rhythms with our female cycles and how each phase can influence our energy, focus, and creativity.

One discussion with my friend Aude, founder of Kwezi Midwife, reminded me: listening to your body is also an act of self-love. The female cycle isn’t only about biology; it’s a rhythm, a wisdom, a guide.

Designing EFA & LUNA: Symbols of Our Inner Cycles

From these reflections came the designs for EFA and LUNA in the NITA Collection:

EFA: Two rhombus shapes representing the womb, each distinct because every month we release old energies and welcome the new.

LUNA: A tribute to the moon, whose phases mirror our own cycles. Like the tides, our rhythms rise and fall, each phase carrying meaning.

Through these designs, I wanted to honor the wisdom that connects us to ourselves, our bodies, and the universe.

Thank you for being here, for following these threads of story, spirit, and design.
There is so much more to explore, but for now, voilà.

With love,
Svetta
